TikTok Shop charges a single referral fee, and TikTok says it covers every TikTok Shop fee except shipping and tax, so there is no separate payment processing line. Most categories pay 6%. Five fine-jewellery sub-categories (diamond, gold, jade, platinum and carat gold, ruby, sapphire and emerald) and the Pre-Owned categories pay 5%. The rate applies to what the customer paid, including the shipping they paid, less tax. In Collectibles and Pre-Owned, any portion of a sale above $10,000 is charged 3% instead.

- TikTok-funded platform discounts are added back into the referral fee base, so on an order where TikTok paid part of the price the fee is charged on the undiscounted amount. A seller cannot see that discount in advance, so it is not modelled.
- Promotions change the rate for some sellers: new sellers can receive a temporary referral fee discount, LIVE auction sellers have been offered reductions, and Smart Promotion is an opt-in alternative structure charged on store GMV. These are time-limited or seller-specific, so this calculator shows the published category rates.
- Affiliate creator commission is set by the seller per product, and Fulfilled by TikTok charges its own fulfilment fees. Neither is modelled. Sellers registered in some states, such as Texas and West Virginia, are charged sales tax on the referral fee itself.
- On a refund TikTok returns the referral fee less a Refund Administration Fee of 20% of it, capped at $5 per SKU. Refunds are not part of a per-sale figure, so they are excluded here.

$3.00 in fees on a $50 sale, leaving you $47.00 — an effective rate of 6%. On $100 it is $6.00, leaving $94.00. The effective rate is the same at both prices, because at these prices every fee is a straight percentage of the sale.
What are TikTok Shop's fees, exactly?
On a $50 sale, the fees are referral fee of $3.00 (6% of $50.00). That comes to $3.00 in total. There is no monthly fee.
Does TikTok Shop charge fees on shipping?
Yes. Fees on TikTok Shop sales are charged as a share of the whole payment, which includes the shipping you charged the buyer. A $50 item with free shipping costs $3.00 in fees; the same item with $10 shipping costs $3.60 — $0.60 more, on shipping money that mostly goes to the carrier. Raising your shipping price raises your TikTok Shop bill.
What should I charge on TikTok Shop to keep $50?
